I love Sam. Always have, always will. I might not ALWAYS agree with everything she does, but I usually can understand why she does what she does. Sam and Robin are my two absolute favorite characters on the show. I can’t believe Robin died BUT KMc knowingly left, it’s not like she was fired AND KMc WANTED Robin to die, so I can’t be that mad at the s/l. I totally can understand why so many people are mad at Sam, I completely sympathize and everyone is entitled to their opinion, BUT in my eyes she did what I believe anyone would have. Everything Sam said today was out of total love and desperation for Jason, she wants to save his life and she will do anything to do it. The timing is AWFUL, but I mean Jason is dying. It’s like Carly begging Jason for Jake’s organs like 5 minutes after he died, Alexis begging Sam to induce labor so Kristina can live, you do anything you can to save the people you love, in in those cases, that’s all you’re thinking about. The fear, desperation consumes you and that’s what Sam’s going through. She knows Robin died and she feels awful and she knows the timing is awful but she has to try and save Jason.
However with their scenes today, I completely understand Patrick’s side too, he just lost Robin and in his eyes Jason is the reason why and again it’s because he’s heartbroken, and sad, and feels guilty and all his emotions are consuming him and he’s not thinking straight. He blames Jason therefore he’s being stubborn and not thinking like a doctor, but rather a grieving husband which is COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE. I think in the end, Patrick will save Jason because not only did he take an oath as a doctor, but deep down he knows that’s what Robin would have wanted, and why she risked everything to save the protocol.
WOW! Thanks for the question, nice to vent a little :)
